Yoga creates a union between the mind and the body. It not
only increases flexibility and muscular strength, but also
reduces stress by increasing respiration and relaxing the
mind. The yoga exercises or “asanas” are performed according
to each individual's own unique level; there are no limits
on what an individual can do.
Yoga comprises a wide range of mind/body practices, from
postural and breathing exercises to deep relaxation and
meditation. Yoga therapy tailors these to the health needs
of the individual. It helps to promote all-round positive
health, as well as assisting particular medical conditions.
The therapy is particularly appropriate for many who wish to
Increase mind/body self-awareness and become more flexible
in dealing with life's physical and emotional challenges.
Yoga classes are offered weekly at the Bucks County Wellness
Centre: Washington Crossing office - Tuesdays 6:30 pm
Classes are $10 each, small class size, reservations are
required - all are welcome. You may sign up for all of our
yoga classes either in the Langhorne or Washington Crossing
centre.
An ongoing class is offered Tuesday evening in Washington
Crossing. The cost is $80.00 for 8 consecutive Tuesday
evenings.
